Stair Atelier
Supreme ModernStairs Inc
Bespoke staircases, hand-forged for homes with exacting detail. One-of-one, always.
MATERIALS & FINISHES
Every staircase is composed of materials chosen to age gracefully — solid, sourced, and worked by hand.
Material Description
WALNUT
wood
A deeply grained hardwood with rich chocolate undertones. Walnut ages to a warm amber patina and takes oil finishes beautifully. Our treads are quarter-sawn from North American stock for dimensional stability and a subtle ray-fleck figure that catches light.
Finish Study
A looping material reel that complements the live swatch palette.
PROCESS
CONSULT
Our designers visit your home, take measurements, and listen. No obligation. We leave with enough to sketch.

DESIGN
Hand drawings, then 3D model. You see exactly what will be installed. Changes are free until the moment you approve.

FORGE
Materials selected from our stock of aged timber, poured bronze, and specified steel. Joinery cut in our atelier by hand and machine.

INSTALL
White-glove installation by our own crew. Typical installs complete in 3–7 days. We clean, inspect, and walk you through care.

CONFIGURE
Sketch an idea. We'll talk through pricing and timeline on the phone.

TESTIMONIALS
We were nervous about making the stair the focal point of the house, but it ended up tying the whole renovation together. The detailing, the fit, and even the install process felt very considered from start to finish.

THE ATELIER
One of one — always
Supreme Modern Stairs is a small studio by choice. Every staircase passes through the same pair of hands at design, forge, and install.
We take on a limited number of commissions at a time, so each project gets the attention a centrepiece deserves — from the first sketch to the final fitting.
We work in brass, bronze, hardwood, stone, and glass — the materials that age into something better. We do not use veneer, laminate, or composite.
Our work lives in private residences shaped around careful details, measured pacing, and a close relationship between designer, fabricator, and installer.
